'Tis the Season to Be Stressed Out

Finals week blows. It just does. And the worst part is it's mostly your own fault that you've become as utterly stressed as you are because the "reading days" and the weekend before finals are spent partying, NOT studying. But on the bright side, it's almost over. Thursday cannot come too soon for me but the end is in sight and having my first final of the semester under my belt feels good.

So, I got Christmas present from one of my roomates: one part is the new Gwen Stefani CD (which is growing on me) and a plastic reindeer that you put brown jelly beans in and he poops them out. Eww, gross. But it's funny and I can appreciate that. She also let me download her Harry Potter book 6 on CD onto my iPod so, I am way excited about that.

I am 2 episodes away from being done with season 5 of Buffy. It's been an interesting season(Boo to Riley, cheers to Spike). I am also watching season 5 of Dawson's Creek but am only on the 3rd episode. Both of these shows have been given to me by people who love them so I am watching them, but I have to admit I went into both reluctantly. They are an interesting pairing of shows for me to be watching together because they are SO different. My honest opinion: Buffy is the better of the two shows from a writing perspective, and I like it more overall but I am not obsessed with either. It's funny because Buffy is a much better written show than Smallville but I AM obsessed with Smallville, although I suspect that is mostly due to Tom Welling's extreme hotness.

So, I should probably put something fun on here so that it is not just me venting frustration. While my friends and I were driving to Salt Lake last week we got into a discussion of the fictional characters we would most like to make out with. This is my list: Mr. Knightley from Jane Austen's Emma, Mulder from the X-Files, Clark Kent, Dimitry from Anastasia, Tony Almeda from 24, Wolverine from X-Men, Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice, and Jack Shepherd from LOST. After looking over this list I see a few patterns: I like guys with medium to dark brown hair, apparently I like government guys, and rich guys, and British guys from the 18th century.

Random acts

Hey everyone!

So, it has been quite a while since I have posted anything. Life has been uber busy. My play is done, which is both a relief and a little sad because even though it was time consuming it was a blast. I really had fun with it. Mom and dad got it on video and I am going to post it over Christmas break so those who couldn't come can watch it, it's not very long don't worry.
And this is the last week of classes so school has been busy as well. But it's finally slowing down, so I can catch my breath.

Last night my friend Mary and I came up with a fun game to play when we are sick of studying and feel like getting off task. We made a Harry Potter alphabet, meaning we went through the alphabaet and asigned a Harry Potter character or otherwise related item to each letter. Here is our list:
A: Albus Dumbledore
B: Broomstick
C: Cho Chang
D: Dobby
E: Erised (as in the mirror of erised)
F: Fleur DeLacour
G: Gryffindor
H: Hermione Granger
I: Igor Karkaroff
J: Justin Flinchfletchly
K: Kreacher
L: Luna Lovegood
M: Minerva McGonagall
N: Neville Longbottom
O: Occlumency
P: Peter Pettigrew
Q: Quidditch
R: Ravenclaw
S: Severus Snape
T: Tonks
U: Umbridge
V: Voldemort
W: Weasley
X: (X)pelliarmus- a spell
